Hi fellow travelers! As we’re gearing up for a FULL season of holiday travel, I wanted to share my health and beauty travel kit essentials and the items in my travel toiletry kit with you.
Nobody loves feeling gross and icky on a flight, and you always want to look and feel fresh when you land. It’s super helpful to have a go-to travel toiletry kit to help ward off greasy skin and plane-breath so you can feel your best.
I actually keep my travel toiletry kit mostly packed and don’t use the items in it when I am not traveling. I find it much easier to keep all of those health and beauty travel kit essentials together at all times so I am not scrambling around the night before a flight looking for something. Especially since I usually pack at 11pm the night before a 6am flight. Thanks, procrastination!
Whether you’re looking to keep your skin even and hydrated, keeping your lips plump and moist, or ward off gross germs, here is a list of my must have essentials for your travel kit!

Bioderma Sensibio H2O Biodegradable Facial Wipes
These cleansing cloths are perfect for travelers on the go! The micellar water formulation is super gentle for all types of skin and can remove dirt and makeup without stripping the skin’s natural oils. I also love that these biodegradable wipes come in a resealable pack–no leaking! Perfect for a travel toiletry kit.
Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Serum
Peter Thomas Roth has a cult following for its Water Drench line, and with good reason. This lightweight cloud serum contains Hyaluronic Acid which improve hydration, Silk Proteins, and a Mineral Complex that helps increase levels of moisture with bio-fermented zinc, copper, manganese, iron, and silicon. Even if you’re sitting in coach you can still feel like a first class babe with this luxe serum!
Dr. Bronner’s Hand Sanitizer Spray
If you read my blog post about staying healthy while traveling, you’ll already know I am obsessed with this Dr. Bronner’s Hand Sanitizer spray. Use it liberally throughout your trip–especially before you touch your mouth or eyes. I always keep a bottle of this spray in my travel toiletry kit.
Vaseline Intensive Care Hand Lotion
After cleaning your hands, follow up with Vaseline Intensive Care Hand Lotion, which can double as a hand and body lotion. This treatment contains alpha hydroxy to gently exfoliate skin for smooth, soft hands, and does not leave any sticky residue behind.
I am obsessed with Homeoplasmine for chapped lips. At home, I keep a tube of the French ointment next to my bed for dry winter nights. I first read about this when I was researching French pharmacy buys, and learned one of its core purposes is as a nipple cream for nursing mothers. I’ve given tubes to my friends with babies, and they are also obsessed with it now. I love this stick size that can travel anywhere in a travel toiletry kit!
If you’re looking for moisture plus color, check out Revlon’s Kiss Lip Balm. With SPF 20, natural fruit oils, and six fresh and sheet colors, you can’t go wrong! Plus it’s only $3…so just buy one (or two)?
If you’ve ever been sick of the TSA rifling through your liquids, these toothpaste tablets help cut down on the liquids you need to pack. You just bite into them and brush as normal! It’s a little weird the first couple times, but they come in handy for flying and traveling in general.
Organic Sambucus Lozenge with Elderberry and Zinc
If you read my post about staying healthy while traveling, you’ll know I am really feeling Elderberry to help prevent and shorten colds. Nature’s Way Organic Sambucus Lozenge with Elderberry and Zinc are perfect for tucking in your health and beauty travel toiletry kit and will help keep your immunity up and your throat moisturized while breathing in the dry airplane air.
TravelWise Packing Cube System
If you’re not using packing cubes already, you need to get into it. Like–now. I love cubes for keeping my ish organized in my main luggage plus in my backpack/carry on. Fun fact: before I knew what packing cubes were, I backpacked through Europe with a similar system: the low-budget “plastic bags” hack. I mean, whatever works, right?!
But now I have two sets of cubes, and I love the TravelWise system since you can use the very smallest bag to keep all your health and beauty travel kit essentials in it. Plus they come in seven colors for guys and gals!
