Where to Stay in Portland Maine

Where to Stay in Portland Maine: Accommodation for All Budgets

As a companion piece to the one-day itinerary of things to do in Portland Maine, I wanted to curate a list of where to stay in Portland. There are a number of wonderful hotels, inns, and B&Bs; some of which are the best places to stay in Portland Maine!

I found Portland to be such a charming and walkable city, that I’d recommend staying near the Old Port or in South Portland so you can walk to all of the great restaurants and shops. Hotels in South Portland Maine are a great option if you want to be away from the bustle of the port and obtain more budget-friendly Portland accommodation.

This is my list of top hotels based on things I personally find important like ease of parking, location, free perks like breakfast, dog friendly hotels, swank lobbies, friendliness of the staff, and comfy rooms. Let me know below if any of your favorite hotels made this list or if you’d recommend other locations.

The below links are affiliate links, which means I might make a small fee if you end up booking a room. It costs you nothing!
