Dunkin has released its latest seasonal flavor– the Dunkin Pink Velvet Latte and Pink Velvet Macchiato. Served hot or iced, the pink hued flavor is supposed to taste like red velvet cake with notes of cream cheese.
So how was it?
Sweet, of course, but in a fun and lighthearted way. The creamy pink syrup mixes with the milk if you order it as an iced Dunkin Pink Velvet Macchiato for a fun pink and brown layered look.
You can definitely taste the red velvet cake and the cream cheese notes in the Dunkin Pink Velvet syrup. I personally don’t like syrup flavors too strong, so I’d recommend asking for less pumps of the syrup.
This flavor probably won’t last much longer than Valentine’s Day, but for what it’s worth, it’s a fun and unique addition to the traditional flavors on offer.
Dunkin has also released some seasonal donuts to go along with the Pink Velvet drinks, too! The Brownie Batter Donut is a heart-shaped donut filled with chocolate brownie batter buttercreme filling and frosted with chocolate icing. The Cupid’s Choice Donut is a heart-shaped donut filled with Bavarian Kreme and frosted with strawberry-flavored icing.
But I think the best deal out of all this is the 10 munchkins for $2. My favorite!
